Welcome to the course From Idea to Service Business – Transforming Healthcare

On this course you will be introduced the concepts of service design and business within the healthcare sector. You will meet and interact with real entrepreneurs, identify a need and start to develop a service business, and get oriented in the healthcare sector concerning its challenges and possibilities.

The course will start on Tuesday October 29, 2019 at 17.00. The course will be conducted as part-time studies, two evenings per week until Thursday December 13, 2018. It includes scheduled lectures and workshops. Most evening will be divided into two sections, a theoretical part spanning specific concepts such as service design and business planning, and a part focusing on translation of the concept with a personalised story in the field.

In addition to the scheduled sessions you will work on a group project, a case study and a personal assignment (reflection). The group projects will be focusing on new ideas to solve relevant problems from the healthcare sector. You will put together a draft for a business plan and compete with each other in a final presentation were you pitch your idea for an opposing group and a real venture capitalist.
